Refund Policy
We want you to be satisfied with the Service. This Refund Policy explains when a refund is possible and how to request one.
Eligibility
You may request a refund if ALL of the following apply:
- You submit the request within 7 calendar days of the first key activation.
- The Service failed to function as described in the product page or documentation.
- You cooperated with support to diagnose the issue and a resolution was not possible.
- You have not used the Service to play more than 20 games with the key.
- The license key has not been shared with or activated on more than one machine.
Not Eligible for Refund
Refunds will not be issued in the following cases:
- Your Lichess account was banned because you used the Service on a human (non-BOT) account. This is a violation of Section 3 of the Terms of Service and of Lichess's own rules.
- You changed your mind after substantial use.
- You are unable to set up a Lichess BOT account (this is a requirement of the Service, documented publicly).
- You are unable to run the Service because your machine does not meet minimum system requirements (Windows 10/11 x64).
- Lichess made a breaking API change that the Service has not yet adapted to, provided we are actively working on a fix. In that case, we extend your subscription by the outage duration instead of refunding.
- Your payment was successfully processed by DonationAlerts but you did not receive a key due to providing a wrong Telegram username or chat ID when donating. Contact support and we will manually issue the key instead of refunding.
How to Request a Refund
- Open the support Telegram bot.
- Use the "Support" menu to send a message starting with "REFUND REQUEST".
- Include:
- The date of your donation
- The exact amount in rubles
- Your Telegram ID or username
- A clear description of the problem
- We will acknowledge within 48 hours and respond with a decision within 7 business days.
Refund Method
Approved refunds are issued through DonationAlerts as a reverse transfer to the original payment source, subject to DonationAlerts's processing rules and timelines (typically 3โ10 business days).
Partial Refunds
For multi-month subscriptions, partial refunds may be offered on a pro-rata basis at the Developer's discretion for unused time, less a 20% administrative fee.
Chargebacks
Filing a chargeback or dispute with your bank or payment provider without first attempting to resolve the issue with support is a violation of our Terms. Chargebacks result in permanent license revocation and exclusion from future purchases.
